The climate emergency isn’t going away.
How can businesses come together to take action?
At the beginning of this year, the climate crisis was at the top of political and business agendas around the world. In February we saw 20,000 climate protestors march in Bristol with Greta Thunberg, and momentum was building for COP26 in Glasgow. In the space of a few short weeks, with the spread of Covid-19 everything changed. But the climate emergency isn't going away, and as we start to rebuild the economy, how can we do so in a way that’s green?
Forgather is proud to launch the Net Zero Sessions, a series of gatherings and curated conversations for business leaders to discuss the role we can play in tackling the climate emergency.
We know that the best events are not just about inspiring content, but also the people you’ll meet and the communities that are built as a result. Our aim is to build a new community around this critical cause, even under lockdown. If anything, it’s more important now than ever to find like minds, connect and collaborate in a time of social distancing.
We’re drawing on a wealth of knowledge from speakers including…
Greg Jackson, CEO & Founder, Octopus Energy
Richard Walker, Managing Director, Iceland Foods
Vicky Murray, Sustainability Manager, Pukka Herbs
Kate Sandle, Director of Programmes & Engagement, B Lab UK
Phil Haughton, Founder, Better Food
…and more. With their help we aim to inspire and inform business leaders looking to accelerate their sustainability strategy, and find creative ways to collaborate in this time of climate crisis.
We’re delighted also to be building this with our co-collaborator Oli Barrett, Founder of the Connector Unit.
This passion project of ours will also support Offset Earth, our charity partner who plant trees and fund carbon offsetting projects around the world. They’ll receive 100% of the £10 suggested donation fee per attendee.
